![]() ![]() The log "Autodesk Inventor 2016 SP1.log" is 14000 lines long. The "Autodesk Inventor 2016 R2" log looks exactly like it does on the successful workstations, and it declares, " Autodesk Inventor 2016 SP1 is installed successfully!" The log files left in %TEMP% don't seem to indicate any problems. On 7 of them, it went fine but on 2 of them, the Inventor About dialog still shows Update 2 (build 138) after the update runs and the new Shape Generator features are not there. When you select the option, all local materials and appearances are updated automatically to the styles in the library in the active project.We have installed the 2016 R2 Update on 9 workstations so far. Instead of opening the files manually, you can update your batch of models to the styles in a library of the active project. In Task Scheduler, in both the Migration task and the Update Design task, this setting updates materials and appearances in batches of files. This setting will batch update all local materials and appearances by automatically comparing with Project active Library. A new setting, Update Local materials And Appearance is added in the Task Scheduler Migration Options dialog box.For more information, refer to this post on the Inventor Product Support blog Being Inventive. The new option “Migrate Color Style to Generic” replaces the need to set the environment variable "InvCM_ForceConvertToGeneric" which converted legacy colors to generic type in Inventor R2013. When selected, it creates a generic appearance for each color style in the appearance of the Inventor 2012 shaded view color style. A new migration setting, Migrate color styles to generic, is added to the Material Styles Migration dialog box.
